Video On Removing Clearcoat Scratches From Lamborghini
If you have read one of my article on car paint repair, you probably know that there are actually 2 kind of scratches: clearcoat scratches and deep scratches. the differences are:
- Clearcoat scratches: can’t catch it with finger nail and the color of the scratch is the same as the car.
- Deep scratches: can catch it with finger nail and the color of the scratch is NOT the same as the car. You can probably see a grey line or the bare metal of the car.
In short, clearcoat scratches are minor issues that can be removed with wet sanding and polishing. Deep scratches are serious issues which require touch up paint and polishing to eliminate them from the surface.
I like this video because he uses a Lamborgini as a sample. Enjoy the video. It is a bit long but it records the entire process. Enjoy!
